The International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE) was founded in 2003 by John Mellon, a pioneer in the field of digital forensics and computer examination. Recognizing the growing need for standardized, credible certification in the rapidly evolving world of digital evidence, John established the ISFCE to set the benchmark for professional competence in the field.

Since its founding, ISFCE has been at the forefront of digital forensics certification, providing the Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) credential to professionals across law enforcement, government agencies, and corporate sectors worldwide. The CCE certification has become one of the most recognized and respected credentials in the digital forensics industry, trusted by organizations that require the highest standards of forensic competence.

New Beginnings

In 2024, ISFCE entered a new chapter with the appointment of Tino Kyprianou as the organization's new leader. Under his guidance, ISFCE is embarking on an ambitious program of modernization and growth — expanding training offerings, enhancing the certification process, and leveraging technology to serve the global digital forensics community more effectively.

This new era includes the launch of the ISFCE Digital Forensics LMS, bringing ISFCE's renowned training directly to professionals worldwide through a modern, accessible online platform.
